Here you can read our terms and conditions applicable for all your purchases on www.blackironhorse.com. You are therefore encouraged to read the terms carefully so that you know your rights and obligations before you buy any products from us. For every purchase we ask you to accept the terms of trade conditions.
When you shop with us, all transactions are subject to Danish law. Therefore all disagreements will be settled by The Courts of Denmark.

Order and payment
The webshop is open 24/7, so you can always shop with us. However, certain parts of the site will periodically be unavailable due to maintenance.
To shop on blackironhorse.com you must be at least 18 years old or have the legal right to enter into a purchase, for example in the form of acceptance from your guardian.
Prices
All prices are inclusive of 25 % Danish VAT and in the selected currency if ordering within the EU. Prices at time of booking apply. Freight and delivery costs are included unless stated otherwise.
Ordering goods
- Find the goods you would like to purchase and click on “add to cart”
- Select “view cart”
- Select “Proceed to checkout”
- Enter your personal data and choose where you want the package delivered.
- Choose shipping method.
- Choose payment method.
- Approve the order.
- We will send an order confirmation to you by email.
Receipt of order and order confirmation
When you order an item, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. This order confirmation is also your receipt of purchase.
Orders placed on weekdays before 12.00pm are treated on the same day.
Orders placed Friday after 14:00, Saturday, Sunday and holidays are processed the next working day. See updated opening hours on our website.

We do charge card fees, no matter which of the above payments you choose.
The amount will only be withdrawn from your card when the items are dispatched.

Delivery
We offer free shipping on all orders above 1000 DKK with our standard delivery in Denmark. We use GLS or BRINK TRANSPORT for most shipments,
GLS delivery takes place in the daytime or delivery and pickup at the GLS package shop.
Stock items will by default be shipped within 2 business days.

Cancellation
When you shop at blackironhorse.com you have 14 days to cancel your purchase from the day you receive the goods by danish law.
The cancellation period will expire 14 days after the day you;
- Received your product
- Get the last goods in physical possession when it comes to an agreement on several items that have been ordered in one order and delivered separately.
- Get the last lot or the last part in physical possession, when it comes to an agreement on the delivery of a good consisting of multiple lots or pieces.
If you regret your purchase you must, within 14 days of receipt, notify us that you want to cancel your purchase. The notification shall be given by contacting us at hello@blackironhorse.com. In your message you need to make us clearly aware of the fact that that you want to use your right of cancellation.
You can not cancel your purchase by simply rejecting the goods without clearly letting us know that you would like to cancel your purchase.
Partial cancellation of a purchase
If you have purchased multiple items from us, you have the opportunity to send one or more items back, even if they are purchased in one order.
Note that you can only get a proportionate share of your delivery costs back, corresponding to the balance between the number of items you send back, and the number you keep.
Return
You must send your order back to us without any undue delay and within 14 days after you have notified us that you wish to cancel your purchase. You must bear the direct cost of returning the goods. When returning an item you are responsible for packing the goods safely. You bear the risk from the time of delivery of the goods.
Business Customers
For business customers there are no right of cancellation unless otherwise agreed in writing. Private enterprises, government agencies, associations, foundations and private institutions etc. are considered business customers.
The condition of the item when you send it back
You will only be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and the way it works. In other words, you can inspect the item in the same way as if you examined it in a physical store. If the product is examined and tested beyond what is outlined above, we consider it as used, which means that when you cancel your purchase only get part or none of the purchase amount back, depending on the product’s commercial value. In order to receive back the entire purchase amount you must therefore do the same as you can in a physical store. You can inspect the item, but you cannot take it in actual use.
Refund of the purchase amount
If you regret your purchase we will refund the amount you have paid to us. In the event of a depreciation you are liable for, this amount will be deducted from the purchase amount.
If you use your right of cancellation, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (excluding additional costs as a result of your own choice of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any case within 14 days from the date we receive notice of your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the return product, unless you have supplied evidence of returning the item.

What should I send back?
You must attach a copy of the order confirmation.
The expedition will be faster if you also fill out our cancellation form.
Note! We do not receive packages sent COD (cash on delivery).
Guarantee, Service and Warranty
When you shop at blackironhorse.com you have 24 months warranty under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. Our warranty applies to defects in material and / or workmanship.
When there are defects in a product you can either get it repaired or replaced, refund or reduction in price, depending on the specific situation.
It is a requirement that the complaint is justified and that the defect is not caused by incorrect use of the product or other injurious behavior. It is therefore necessary that you follow the enclosed instructions, washing instructions and other instructions that guide the proper use and maintenance of the product. Non-respect of a product in relation to the prescription, will be construed as misuse or other inappropriate behavior, and therefore the product will not be covered by the warranty.

How soon should I complain?
You must complain within “reasonable time” after you have discovered the defect. If you complain within two months after the defect is discovered, the complaint will always be timely.
We will refund reasonable return delivery costs
If the complaint is justified we will refund your (reasonable) return delivery costs (in Denmark only)

Please note, we do not accept COD packages or the like.
Remember that the product must always be returned in protective packaging and get a receipt for the shipment, so that we can reimburse your shipping costs.
Service
All bikes must be serviced continuously, where they must be tightened (including spokes), checked and lubricated. First service visit must be made within 1 month of delivery or if required earlier. The bicycle’s first service check must always include : tighten spokes, tensioning and lubrication of the crank (not applicable to center motor) and bearings, and lubrication and adjustment of both chains, gears and brakes.
Warranty is ONLY provided IF the bike has been serviced within the first 1 months of receipt / purchase date. This is an imperative requirement, so always remember to keep documentation for these services, even if they are made by BLACK IRON HORSE. The cost of this first and mandatory service visit is not included in the purchase price. The first mandatory service is not required to be executed by BLACK IRON HORSE. It is completely optional for the buyer of the bike, who is doing the service on the bike and where it is made. It is a requirement that it is a trained bike-professional who performs all service.
Warranty
Cargobikes – Guaranty and warranty permanently void in case of neglected service and/or wrong usage of the product and/or parts of the product. This assessment is made solely by BLACK IRON HORSE qualified personnel.
Gurantee
The Danish general law of the Purchase Act (2 years) applies, but does not apply to wear parts (see below). The warranty includes 1 year on the battery. If, however, the bike is resold and / or transfered to a third party, and if the battery is improperly handled and / or incorrectly charged over time, any warranty will be void.
The warranty period is from the day the bike is delivered / handed over to the customer and only applies if the mandatory service inspection within the first month has been complied with (see above).
Warranty does NOT apply to the following conditions and wear parts:
- Failure to maintain / service the product
- Incorrect or unjustifiable use of the product
- Exceeding the maximum load capacity according to the product specifications
- Unskilled service, replacement or remodeling of the product
- Damage due to accident or force majeure
- Damaged or flat tires
- Chains
- Rust
- Gear, crank and brake cables
- Wheel and spokes adjustment
- Eger
- Locks and keys
Each bicycle comes with a locking certificate used by the buyer’s insurance company in case of theft.
