The Ebbefos Foundation is a charity foundation, established in 2021 by Morten Ebbesen, Vibeke Nyfos and their two daughters Lærke Nyfos Ebbesen og Mathilde Nyfos Ebbesen. The foundation’s vision is to support charitable initiatives aimed at reducing and preventing an increasing poor well-being among the youth. Furthermore, the foundation has an environmental focus that aims to contribute to improve the Table of Contents 1. What is Ebbefos? 2. Our profit goes to a good cause 3. School absence needs to be reduced climate, which harmonizes with our own approach to a more sustainable production at Black Iron Horse.
At Black Iron Horse, we take pride and joy in giving a part of our profit back to the society. This is made possible through the ownership by the Ebbefos Foundation’s investment company, Ebbefos Holding A/S. Our core values are rooted in producing high-quality Danish crafts while also taking a more sustainable approach to production, for the benefit of the society. In this way, we contribute to ensuring that the support provided by the Ebbefos Foundation to the youth is based on a consideration for a more sustainable approach to the production of cargo bikes.
One of the Ebbefos Foundation’s most recent initiatives is to reduce school absence among young people who are struggling the most. They are doing this through ‘Bü-rummet’, a former janitor’s apartment that has been transformed into a cozy and welcoming space that serves as an alternative educational setting for the children at Bülowsvej School in Frederiksberg. At Bü-rummet, children with various diagnoses who do not thrive in the regular school system, are given the opportunity to receive education, specialized for their individual needs.
